There will be a Car Wash on September 19th from 11:00 to 3:00 at the Burger King on Ambassador (across from the Mall). Participating students should bring sponge/towels, Buckets, sunscreen, and something to drink. Please email soniahartley@cox.net if you can attend.

Mighty Lion Band students are now selling Poboy tickets! The fall Poboy sale will take place on Saturday, September 18th. Each $5 ticket is good for a delicious sausage Poboy and a bag of chips. Poboys can be picked up between 11:00 and 2:00 at the LHS circle. Buy your tickets today and help support the band.

New Percussion Teacher at LHS!

We'd like to welcome Howard Desselle to the Mighty Lion Band Staff! Howard has recently been appointed to Lafayette High School and will teach percussion and music theory. He will replace Danny Devillier who will be moving on to UL, but will remain involved in our program as he continues to write or show music. Howard comes to us with alot of experience and a wealth of knowledge. He is eager to get started! Welcome Mr.

The LHS Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform in the 2010 Music for All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The festival will take place in March and will feature some of our nation's finest!

The Mighty Lion Marching Band placed 12th at this year's BOA Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.

Congratulations to the band members, staff and boosters. What a great ending to an amazing 2008 marching band season!

Mighty Lion Band makes Grand National Semis!!!

The Mighty Lion Marching Band has made it into the Semi-Finals at the Grand Nationals in Indianapolis! They will be performing at 3:15PM eastern time (2:15 central). The Semi-Finals award ceremony and announcement of finalists begins at 5PM eastern (4PM central).
